  • Ashlee Vance on Elon Musk and future of mankind

Ashlee Vance‘s book on Elon Musk: Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future is a must-read.

Why?
First, if you are looking for inspiration post-Steve Job’s iconic iPod and iPhone launch, there is little choice but to read about Elon Musk. When most of us in the valley are still skeptical if Star Wars was a fiction or a reality, Elon Musk is going against governments and corporations to prove a simple point – technology has to advance mankind. We have to find a new way to save this planet – be it by being less dependent on gas (Tesla) or finding new habitats (Mars) or making our homes more energy-efficient (SolarCity).

This is amazing stuff.
Agreed!

We need more inner peace but the fact that human potential needs to be tested and there are very few avenues to express that at the moment. Elon strikes a chord with entrepreneurs or early adopters looking for inner peace by giving them a chance to change the world.

Moreover,

His ideas to put factories here in CA, when most folks would find it hard to justify. He gives us hope for the United States to get back to manufacturing.
Trust me…

Ashlee, himself, is perhaps still recovering from this roller coaster ride of working with Elon Musk on this book. But needless to say, he just gave us the up, closer, and personal and truly inspirational view into Elon Musk.
